Deer Park

One of my favorite activities of the Dells trip was going to Deer Park.  The whole idea is there are hundreds of tame deer that can be fed by hand!  Even by the kids!  It was sooo much fun to see Amelia feed them - she was even more brave than her mommy!
Amelia saw others poking their heads through and wanted to take a try
A little short for this one!
The park starts with feeding the goats
Daddy giving Amelia food
The whole clan
Amelia, Noah and Emma looking at the pigs
Walking towards the deer entrance
The first deer that greeted us at the door.  Their antlers are so soft.
Amelia feeding her first deer!
Amelia had absolutely NO fear of the deer!
Amelia would walk up to the closest deer and sometimes even run!

Grandpa and Uncle Tom.  What a pose Uncle Tom!
These are just some of the deer laying around.

Walking toward the next section of deer park
Mommy giving food to Amelia to feed the deer.  These were a different breed of deer.  While still tame, these deer were a little more assertive in their desire for food.  I have to admit, it freaked me out a bit and I had to give the food to someone else to manage for Amelia.

Noah, Emma, Gramma and Amelia looking at the rabbits
Elijah and Noah petting the deer
Elijah decided to take a seat and hug the deer
Noah also found a friend!
We are still in deer park, though outside of where the actual deer are.  The kids had so much fun running around this giant bear!
Amelia insisted all of us take a seat on the bear's paws
All paws occupied!
Hi Emma!

I have to say...if you are heading to the Dells with kids - I totally recommend Deer Park!
