Pre-Lando Catch-up Part 2

This year Thanksgiving was spent with Gramma and Grandpa in Minneapolis, since Landon was expected anytime.   We took quite a big risk and bought circus tickets for the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  Luckily, Landon waited and we were able to go!
Amelia rode an elephant all by herself!  She did so great and I was so proud of her that she was brave enough to go alone.
You could tell Amelia was so proud of herself!
 Amelia waving to the camera!
In theory, this was Isabelle's pony ride; however, at the last minute she decided it was not for her.  So Amelia took advantage and Isabelle walked next to Amelia.  Needless to say, it worked for them both and they were both happy.
 Group picture!
 Amelia and Isabelle LOVES popcorn
"Gramma, have some popcorn!  Here, I will help!"
We saw tigers, which Amelia didn't like much since they were mean.
We also saw an elephants!  And of course, Amelia loved them!
 She also loves cotton candy!
Bed time routine....daddy is reading the bible to the girls.
Isabelle doing a downward dog!  She is almost to the point where she can do a somersault.
Not sure what they are doing but Isabelle's new nickname is Monkey-Do.  Whatever Isabelle sees Amelia doing, she must also do - whether its good, bad, safe or dangerous (for Isabelle's age).  Needless to say, Isabelle looks up to her sister and wants to be just like her sister!

Pre-Lando Catch-up Part 1

Prior to Landon's arrival we had some visitors and Thanksgiving.  So here is a couple quick catch up posts.  The first visitors were Nana and Papa.  Daddy and Papa worked on 'building' Landon's room.

The second visitors were Uncle James, Aunt Jenna, Olivia and Cate!  The girls had so much fun playing together.
Gotta love the noise an intake vent makes!

The girls did really good playing together.  Isabelle tried to  be a big kid; however, she couldn't quite be as big as the other girls.
 Such trust!
 Flying high with Uncle James
Lots of fun and relaxation!
We also went to the zoo and had lots of fun looking at the animals.

Isabelle's 20 Month Stats

The day Landon was born, Isabelle went in for her 18 month...er....20 month appointment.  For whatever reason, I had it in my mind that she would be 18 months when Landon was born.....so she 'stayed' 17 months in my mind for a couple extra months!  We got her in, thanks to Gramma and here are her stats:
Height: 2'7" - 14th percentile
Weight:  22 lbs - 32nd percentile
Head Circumference: 46 cm - 36th percentile

Isabelle is quite the little fire cracker!   She continues to climb everywhere and get stuck since she still hasn't mastered climbing down.  She knows what she wants and can listen to simple directions.  She is also stubborn as all get out.....she didn't get it from her daddy or mommy - she got it from both of us in combination!   She still laughs hard and cries hard.   Despite her short stature, she has a deep voice and laugh, which almost makes it more hysterical when she laughs hard.   Isabelle loves her sister so so much and thinks she is the moon, the sky, and the sun!   Recently, she has really started talking - and you need context; however, she is working hard at getting those words figured out.   Isabelle is also a tough little girl.   She has not lost her fierce love, she will run up to you and give you the biggest hugs!  She also blows kisses which is so cute.   Along with her fierce love, you had better not mess with her monkey!   Monkey is always near and if we ever loose monkey, she will probably never sleep again - yes, its true, that is how important monkey is.   To the point we are contemplating buying another one....just in case.  Isabelle is also able to put on her pants and is starting to tell us when she poops.  Hopefully, that is an indicator that potty training will go great!  haha.   Isabelle also love love loves dogs.   She likes to feed Joey, hug her, kiss her, sit on her (if she gets the chance) and she also has a special bond with Gramma's dog Harley.

Isabelle has a sweet loving nature and yet is a spunky, crazy all over the place type of girl.  She truly is such a joy to be around and her smile will melt your heart in a moment.  I am so honored to be her mommy.

Welcome Landon Russell Vigneron!!

On December 2, after being stumped by the little man as to when he was coming....we opted for an induction at Maple Grove Hospital.  I was more than ready!!!
The last time with the belly.....

We went in at 7:30 and the process started around 8:00.  Once again my veins proved difficult and we didn't actually start IV's and pitocin until 9:00.  After that point, it really didn't take much to get this baby on his way out.   We had to take a short break mid morning because both the baby and I had a drop in blood pressure.  It started with him and then I started dropping.    They gave me oxygen and held off on increasing the meds. Once we both stabilized we started up again.  At around 1:05, I made the comment to Patrick that I thought this baby would be coming within the hour and I was I was very close on my estimate!  The next hour was a whirlwind.....I started progressing so fast Dr. Rice almost didn't make the delivery and after 1 push I was told to stop in order to wait for her.  The most scary part was when the nurse came in around 1:40 and started being concerned about the baby's blood pressure.   It was getting  low again - to the point they called in the special care team.  As Dr. Rice came running in, I pushed 2 times and out came Landon Russell Vigneron!  The reason for the drop in blood pressure?!  His cord was wrapped around his ankle a couple times, but luckily it was not around his neck!  There was a huge sigh of relief from everyone in the delivery room when that was realized.  He came out quite purple, but after the cord was unwrapped, Landon turned nice and pink!  The time he was born?  2:00.
Landon right after he was born....still kind of purple.
Landon weighed in at 7 lbs 13 oz - the biggest of our babies.  His height was 19 3/4 in
Our boy, our 3rd child - Landon.  We have had his name picked out since I was pregnant with Amelia.  It was our boy name and then we had 2 girls.....so we held off on telling anyone the name and surprise surprise.....we get to use it after all!
Our boy all cleaned up!  A couple features everyone noticed was his big hands and feet!  He also has lots of black hair, so we will see if he keeps it or not

Dr. Rice and Landon.  I have been so lucky, Dr. Rice has delivered all 3 of our children.
Landon came with gifts for the girls....books and animals.  Amelia got a giraffe

What a sweet little man.
Landon left the hospital with jaundice; however, we went to the doctor the next day and his level lowered and he no longer was at risk!  Thank you Lord.
The first big snow happened the day Landon was born and continued until we left the hospital.  The drive home was a long one!

Landon in his car seat!
As you can see....our little man is already a Bears fan!
After a very long ride home, we arrived to very excited girls!  Amelia even traced a sign for us, welcoming all of us home!  I was so proud of her!
Isabelle evidently doesn't really realize how big she is....but she did try to get into the car seat

Isabelle also wanted to try out the bassinet, yep she is too big!
Our rambunctious little girl!  Over the last couple weeks, she has really been trying to talk more.  While you definitely need the context to understand it, but she is still getting pretty close.
Here is a view of the dark hair
