Isabelle's 1 Year Pictures

These are Isabelle's 1 year pictures!  Yes, she is now 16 months, but what can I say - I am a procrastinator at picking them out.  Thank you so much Mark and Melanie for taking them!  Cannot believe Isabelle is getting so old!
I have to say....I love this last picture....yes she is crying uncontrollably, but really - its not totally uncommon for her, so its a bit fitting to have a picture of it now. :)

All Things Isabelle

Oh Miss Isabelle, what can I say?  You are a spunky little girl that I cannot take my eyes off of.  You have no fear.   At 16 months, you still only have 4 teeth, which makes me a bit nervous for you when they all decide to come in.   We've been working with you and signing, but honestly you don't really like it much.  Instead you usually get you message across very loudly in other ways.   You laugh from your belly - always and its the sweetest thing in the world.   You love to dance......you squat down, stomp one foot and will spin in circles.  You mimic us all the time - especially with words.  You do have a few in your arsenal.... dada, mama, tickle, jojo, bye bye.  I'm sure you have more, but those are all I can think of for now.   You still cuddle so much, give kisses, wave, blow kisses and for the most part you like people.

In the beginning of August Amelia got to spend the week with Nana and Papa, which meant Isabelle became an only child with us!
Isabelle found this bag and had so much fun digging through it
She also figured out how to make it a purse
Isabelle in my baptism dress.  I think I wore it before I was a year, so the fact she can still fit in it - is quite amazing!
She looks so danty
This dress was gramma's and I think was handmade by her great great grandma.
Isabelle taking monkey for a ride.  For the most part Isabelle has stopped climbing this very unstable item with wheels.
Adjusting monkey just so
Love you so much little girl!

Birthday Celebration at Gramma and Grandpa's

A couple weeks after Amelia's birthday we visited Gramma and Grandpa's to celebrate together.
 Anyone there??!
 Gramma and Amelia are!
 The sleeping baby (Amelia's words)
Amelia had to get her jumping time in
And she got Gramma going too
Time to take a rest and lay on gramma
While jumping and playing the guys were working on on cutting a tree limb down
 Chocolate milk break!
 Who needs hands?!
One very excited girl - she gets to have happy birthday sung to her again! Not to mention more cake!
 Oh the excitement!
Blowing out candles......or maybe a better description is spitting out candles?!
Still excited....a surprise is in the Acadia
A new bike!  The exact one Amelia asked for.
Amelia checking out her new bike.....Isabelle is taking a look too
The girl who refuses to be left behind for any reason, finds her own 'bike' and rode it the whole time we were there
Amelia giving the wheels a spin!  While we were in Walmart looking at bikes, she picked this one out.   She hopped on, pedaled for about 2 seconds and then refused to continue.  We explained how to do it and then she explained to us that she didn't have a helmet and in order to be safe had to wear a helmet.    As you can see our safety girl had her helmet on.
Another big step for Amelia this trip......she finally drove the mustang!  I think it helped she had someone in with her!  Isabelle actually enjoyed herself quite a bit until Amelia drove off the road into the grass on the way back from the church parking lot.  As you can see the smile on her face, Amelia was very proud of herself!

Happy 3rd Birthday Amelia!

We celebrated Amelia's birthday this year at Nana and Papa's house.  Part of the reason was because Great Grandma Betty was visiting!
A group picture!  Nana, Olivia, Cate, Great Grandma Betty, Amelia, Mommy
Nana, Olivia, Cate and Great Grandma Betty
The kids had a lot of fun outside riding on Papa's cars
Great Grandma had quite the lapful with Cate and Olivia
Amelia pulling Olivia in the tractor....what muscles!
A train of girls on the tractor
 Olivia giving Amelia a ride
Aunt Amber was Isabelle's best friend!  She pushed her back and forth and back and forth.   Isabelle had so so so much fun!  As you can see you feet on the ground.....we realized she dragged her feet the whole time and literally dragged chunks out of here shoes!
 The caravan!
 Isabelle enjoying her car ride
Uncle James' turn to give the tractor a ride!
A competitive game of ladder golf between Uncle James and Daddy
 Aunt Amber and Cate
Ever since Isabelle's birthday - Amelia has asked for a Minnie Mouse birthday cake!  So how could we have anything else?!
Amelia coming down from her nap to see decorations
Oh the excitement on her face!
Checkin' out the giant Minnie and Daisy picture
Big smiles from the birthday girl!
 Opening gifts
Daddy reading Amelia a card from Nana and Papa.  She played with that card for weeks after
 Opening more gifts
 The Minnie Mouse birthday cake!
Singing Happy Birthday to Amelia.  This was another thing that Amelia loved so much, being sang to.  On her birthday she had me sing to her ALL day long!
Aunt Amber got Amelia a Minnie scooter for her birthday!  She is learning how to ride it
 There she goes!
Unfortunately, Isabelle didn't quite warm up to Great Grandma Betty.  This was the only picture we got and she was not a happy camper
Happy once again in the car though!

Aunt Jenna and Papa
Papa got the slip and slide out for the girls and their daddies were helping them slide
 Having fun in the water
Isabelle walking around - I think she owned the place
While this looks like a friendly moment of holding the trike its actually a tug of war and if you look closely Olivia is screaming.  Oh the fun of sharing!
Isabelle's best form of communication.....point and grunt
Isabelle was even getting in on riding the trikes
 Olivia running around
Such excitement!

Happy birthday sweet Amelia!
