Isabelle

Isabelle is really reaching for things - I am finding she really likes soft things.  Isabelle is also not entertained for long - she likes new, interesting toys to explore.
Isabelle is in the process of teething, so snotty nose - lots of chomping - and drool like crazy!  Interestingly enough though - I don't think they will be showing up anytime soon.
Isabelle's first rollover by herself!  The first rollover was a couple weeks ago, so she is such a pro now!

The Pumpkin Named Happy

Even though it was technically after Halloween, I still wanted Amelia to have her first pumpkin carving experience.  She was NOT excited about the slime and refused to stick her hand in.  Amelia was a good cheerleader and stayed engaged in the process for the most part.
Amelia loved the carving part!  She helped me push out the face and as you can see she liked the fact that the pumpkin had a lid.
Looking inside the pumpkin via eyes was also very fun to look at the candle.
Amelia also named her pumpkin - Happy! (The name may have potentially come about due to the fact that she was happy :)

Happy Holidays!

What a Shot!

A couple nights ago was bath night!  This is a very loved night by our girls, especially Amelia.  Isabelle can't quite articulate it, but she doesn't cry and there are lots of smiles - so I take that as loving it.

After baths, I had Isabelle on the counter to dry her off and get her dressed.  She tends to be very energetic and moves a lot!  Well, I was reminded why I can never underestimate our youngest......
While kicking, Isabelle nailed the shampoo bottle and made a basket....yay?!....No, not so much.  She made a basket into the toilet and Amelia's potty seat was even on there!  After digging into the toilet a couple times (of course the bottle slipped out of my hand), I was reminded the toilet hadn't been flushed yet from Amelia going to the bathroom.
Awesome! Love you parenthood!

Amelia's Time at Gramma & Grandpa's!

While Isabelle and I were in South Carolina - Amelia was having her own fun at Gramma and Grandpa's house!
Big smiles!  Amelia also got a much needed haircut.
Gramma and Amelia (playing in the leaves!)
Amelia helping feed Harley.  We aren't sure who was more sad when Amelia had to go home....Amelia or Harley!
Amelia on the swing.  Amelia found her love for the swing during the potty training visit.  Even before Gramma and Grandpa came to pick her up, she was asking me about the swing.
Amelia playing in the fort Gramma built.
Amelia trick or treating.  Notice no costume....she was supposed to be Elmo, but evidently the head was just a little too big and a little too scary to have on Amelia's head.  Reports have it though, she said thank you to everyone who gave her candy and she loved it so much she kept asking for more.
Having fun is so exhausting!

Isabelle's Big Trip

Isabelle and Mommy took a big trip together and that trip consisted of many firsts for Isabelle.  The biggest first was Isabelle's first plane ride!  Isabelle did sooo incredibly well - I could not have asked her to do any better, she stole hearts and she was such a trooper.
Where did that big plane take us?!  To South Carolina to visit Mommy's friend - Neelma!
Neelma and I know each other from work, where we spent many hours on the phone together working on projects, getting the job done and becoming such good friends.
Isabelle in the stroller!  This was also a big first, because I did not take the baby bjorn - so the stroller was all we had.
From a scenery perspective - I loved the big oak trees and Spanish moss that hung from them
Not only did I get to see Neelma again, I also got to meet her family!  It was so fun to put faces to names and stories!  Neelma walking hand in hand with Taylor her oldest.  Ironically, our girls are very close in age.  We wished Amelia could have come, but that would have just been waaaay to much for mommy.  So next time!
Looking out over the water
Looking back at the walkway, it was a beautiful area and it looked almost fake since it was so well taken care of.
Miss Taylor!  What a sweet girl - she is so soft spoken, thoughtful and sweet!
Miss Skylar!  What a go-getter - she is always on the move, with a smile on her face!  She is going to give her mommy a run for her money!
Isabelle, also known as "Isaboo" according to Taylor

Isabelle chillin' and watching the activities
Isabelle and Skylar snoozin' in the car.  It was a cozy ride - 3 carseats across!  It was so sweet to watch Taylor talking to Isaboo and making her laugh!
Skylar was in process of walking and decided to push Isabelle and exersaucer across the floor.  That girl has muscles!

Taylor giving me smiles!  Taylor would call me Miss Cassie
Neelma and Taylor on Halloween!  Both of her girls were dressed as princesses!

Skylar - love those dark eyes!

Before we knew it our trip was already over and it was time to go back home.  It was soo so good to see such a dear friend again.  It had been over 2 years since the last time we saw each other.
Isabelle on the plane on the way home.  Once again she did so good!  We had a tight connection flight, but she handled it like a regular pro!

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Grandpa and Gramma came up for a quick visit and while there, we celebrated Grandpa's birthday!
Isabelle joined in on the fun!
Amelia helped Grandpa blow out the candles
Amelia made Grandpa his card and his gift!
Grandpa's gift was a painted picture frame with a picture of Grandpa and Amelia.  I have to say, she did such a good job I wanted to keep it!

Fall Cleanup

As fall has come again the leaves are falling and we have a lot of trees!  I have to say that of all the yard work, this is my favorite.
Daddy and Amelia pushing down leaves - they are so tall!
 Jump, Jump, Jump
This is the reason for my love of leave pickup....the leaf sucker upper mulcher machine!
Oh yes - its the best!  I recommend it to all!
 Amelia helping sweep up leaves
Attempting to climb up the ladder with daddy (that is as far as she got though)

Early November...oh wait....October

These are some pictures from early to mid October.  Lately, it has been super crazy busy - in a good way so I'm a bit behind in my posts.  I'm hopefully going to be catching up soon.
 Isabelle still so smiley.
Isabelle sitting with uncertainty.  She is now such a pro!
 Yum - toys!
What is this mound of blanket?!
Amelia!!  Gotta love some hide-and-seek.  Still Amelia's favorite game.  She calls it 'hide'
 Isabelle loving to eat.
She is opening her mouth, like a little bird, a lot more now and she LOVES when her daddy feeds her.
Girls, your daddy may be a bit embarrassed I posted this, but its important for you to know what a good daddy you have!  He plays with you and lets you put funny glasses on his face all in the name of fun for his ladies.
