More Moments

As life continues to fly by here are some more moments...
Landon in the jumperoo for the first time!  It has been 3-4 weeks since he first started going in and now he is jumping like a pro!
Love Isabelle's 'dress'.  The blanket is actually a swimming pool and the girls were practicing
 A little puppy paddle!
Isabelle's case of bad bed head!
Amelia has been very excited about the Where's Waldo books lately.  Here Daddy is helping find Waldo
On a walk
We brought the scooter along and Isabelle had to have a chance riding!
Amazingly enough - this was before Isabelle's birthday and we actually saw a caterpillar!
Joey got to come too!
Amelia in her skirt and tights.  She wanted to take a picture with Joey.
This just is a funny picture of the Lan Man
Happy Boy!
These cuddles just never get old!
Auntie Awesome really lived up to her name on this day!  She sent a package of leo's for Amelia's gymnastics (and was smart enough to send some for Isabelle too).  The girls LOVED them!
Everyday, I got the same request until all of them had been worn (sometimes twice)....Can I wear a leo, mom?
Still smiling!
Isabelle getting some Landon time
Sometimes I wonder who likes the jumperoo better, Landon or the girls!

The Stats are In!

This week has been a busy one with the kids, Amelia and Isabelle had dentist appointments on Wednesday and Isabelle and Landon had doctor checkups this morning.   I was really impressed with all three of them both days!

Dentist:
Amelia was such a big kid!  She didn't cry at all and went to the dentist chair all by herself while the rest of us were in the waiting area!   I was so surprised she was so calm, collected and not scared at all!   Even the dental hygienist complimented her on it.   Next was Isabelle's turn and I have to admit, I was expecting the screamer in her to come out - but following Amelia's lead she was calm and had no tears!   There was a couple moments she said no, but the lady was really respectful.   Needless to say - I was a super proud mommy!

Doctor:
Once again the kids did great!   Amelia is now really into Doc McStuffins and she asked the nurse and doctor if there was something she could help with.   She was so sweet and polite!  Both Isabelle and Landon were calm and did great during their checkups.   Here are their stats.....

Isabelle (2 years):
Height:  2'9.5" -  50th percentile
Weight: 23 lb  -  7th percentile
Head:  47.2 cm  -  41st percentile

Landon (4 months):
Height: 2' 1"  -  31st percentile
Weight: 15 lb 2.8 oz  -  36th percentile
Head: 42.4 cm  -  65th percentile

Based on these numbers, it won't be long and Landon will surpass his big sister!  Good thing Isabelle is a feisty one, so she can hold her own!

Happy 2nd Birthday Isabelle!!!

Oh Isabelle, where to begin with you?!  I cannot believe you are already 2!  It just does not seem possible to me at all - it feels like just the other day you were born and it feels as though Landon should really be you.  But really - you are growing up into such a sweet rambunctious little gal.

Your celebration was small this year, but it was just a good time together as a family!  And we celebrated yesterday since today wouldn't have allowed for much celebrating....daddy has to work, we have swim lessons tonight - we wanted you to have a whole day of "ALL ABOUT ISABELLE".  By supper time, you were even singing happy birthday to yourself - it literally melted both daddy and my's hearts!

As I have said already - you are sweet, rambunctious, and little!  All three are quite accurate - I will get your stats logged later this week, but you are a couple inches shorter than Amelia was at 2 according to our little board.  However, whatever you don't have in height - you make up for in personality!  You are a very busy girl who know what she wants - your talking has been getting better in the last couple months, but you still get very frustrated when we don't understand you or when you can't express your feelings.  We have all been subject to a punch from you!  (Including Amelia).  The way you girls both talk I can barely imagine what it will be like when you are a fluent talker!

I must say - you are a smart girl!  Smarter than you let on and you like your independence.  Even in the last week you want less help from me and want to do it on your own.  You are also starting to ignore me when I tell you to do or not do things....you act like you don't hear me, but really - I can see in your face that you do!  You still want to do everything Amelia does - whether its good or bad - mainly because you love your older sister so so very much!  You also loooove your little brother and you love to hold him.   Amelia was playing patty cake with Landon the other day in the kitchen and as soon as she finished you gave it a try!

Things you love:
Your monkey!  Oh how I hope nothing happens to monkey
Babies
Coloring
Trying on shoes (every one's!)
Looking at books
Dressing up
Word World TV show
I think you like the color purple best, but it may be different by now.
Cheese
Pasta
Fruit - strawberries, oranges and kiwi are your favorite
Bagels and Cream Cheese (That's my girl!)
Cake, Cookies, anything sweets (of course :)

I feel like I have so much more to say, but how can you sum up a whole amazing little girl in one blog post?!  I can't possibly.   Anyone who knows you Isabelle loves you and is completely entertained in watching you.   I absolutely love your cuddles, hugs and kisses.  As you get older and they become less as I know they will - I will utterly miss them.  They are so special to me and I love to see your sweet face light up in a smile.   Your daddy and I are so proud of you and just love you so much.  We are truly blessed to be your parents and I am so happy to see you become 2.  I can't wait to see how you grow in the coming years.

Swimming Here We Come!

We have 2 weeks of swim lessons successfully under our belts!  The girls LOOOOOVE their swim lessons!  This is Amelia's second time and Isabelle's first class of anything. Amelia is very confident and Isabelle is also, which matches her personality!
Isabelle is already getting the scooping and kicking
When she is finished she shakes like a leave and lips are blue, but she doesn't complain!

She was a bit nervous about being on her back, but was a good sport
 Amelia and Mommy
Amelia was so excited she could barely contain herself - it was so sweet
We have even pretend practiced swimming at home....the songs and riddles!
Amelia kicking and doing her thing!
 Landon hanging out
Week 2!  Daddy was the swim buddy this time.  Amelia kept asking if she got to go first this time since Isabelle went first last time.
Landon is a little more appropriately dressed - it is so hot in the swim area!
 Time to get wet!

 More kicking and scooping!
 And Amelia's turn!
Isabelle watching Amelia and eating her snack
Going through the hoola hoop - Amelia was much more confident this time
Getting thrown up in the air by daddy!  Amelia said it was her favorite part of swim lessons
 Daddy and Amelia
Waiting for Daddy and Amelia - Isabelle thought the carseat was a chair for her
Holding her wet clothes and swinging them around - nearly falling over, quite funny
Isabelle buzzing her lips trying to make Landon smile.....though he doesn't seem very impressed
And now we get a smile!

Awesome and Cool

We had a visit from Auntie Awesome, Unkie Cool, Paige and Alaina!!!!  While comments from Amelia such as "When I am as old as Paige then _________," are quite common in our house, as soon as Amelia found out who was visiting she couldn't stop talking about it.  She was so excited!  I don't think Isabelle could quite wrap her brain around what was going to happen :)
Our visitors arrived by supper time and then the playing began and didn't stop until Monday morning!  I have said this before and I will have to say it again - I love to watch all the girls play together!  They got along so well and had such a good time!  I am so grateful to see their friendship grow each time they spend time together.
Unkie Mark reading to the kids
Each time a book came out it was like a magnet - all the kids were attracted.  They were all also attracted when it came to helping in the kitchen!  It is fun to have such helpful girls!
While in a clean up race - Lainey clunked her head -poor girl.
 Unkie Mark and Landon
 Waking up in the morning.....
 .....relaxing until breakfast
Getting ready for bed.  Love these girls to pieces
 Rollin' around playing
We had pizza and a movie!  The girls got to make their own pizzas which was a hit!
We took a trip to Cabela's.   Its a little scary to see Isabelle is the one driving!  What a ride it would be!
 Another book flocking
After the 4 wheeler, the girls tried out the go cart
 Isabelle is still the driver
 Auntie Awesome and Landon
Amelia trying out her aiming skills!
Alaina gave her skills a try too
 Alaina and Landon
We had to get some card playing in!  Unkie Mark holding Landon
 Bedtime stories and songs!
The girls loved doing this at night and had so much fun!
Group picture!  I am so impressed Unkie and Auntie got all of the kids looking and smiling!  Another reason they are called Unkie Cool and Auntie Awesome!

Thank you so much for the visit Safly's!  We all had so much fun and it was so great to spend time together!
