18 Week Ultrasound

As I was going through pictures for my previous posts, I saw the 18 week ultrasound pictures of the baby! We found out at this appointment we were going to have a baby girl - Patrick had them check twice! :-) Its amazing to look back as we are about welcome her into the world that she was so small and far from being fully developed. I think babies and the whole pregnancy process is a miracle from God! Who else could do such amazing things in such a small little being. I am sure I will reminisce about this many times as this little girl of ours grows up over the years. She truly is a gift from God!

I love this first picture!

Its a girl!

And in the spirit of things being small, here I am at 16 weeks!

The Nursery

I thought I would post some pictures of the baby's nursery before she comes, so everyone could see it. We still have a few finishing touches/functional items to setup, but for the most part its ready to go.
Here is her cradle, which is in our room. I actually slept in this cradle when I was a baby, my grandpa made it for my parents and now it is being handed down to the next generation!

Here is our baby girl's room...

Baby Shower!!!

Last weekend my friend Val, hosted a baby shower for me! It was so much fun to see everyone and celebrate the coming of our little one! We had great food - Carmel bars, raspberry brownie truffle, and cookies. Thank you so much for your hospitality Val and thank you everyone who traveled to be there! I appreciate your love and support! Here are some pictures of the event.....

From left to right...Sue (my mom), me, Melanie (sister-in-law), Liz (cousin), Sue (my mother-in-law), Amber (sister-in-law) and Val (friend). My cousin-in-law Melissa also came, but isn't in the picture. A couple honorable mentions, my grandma and sister-in-law Michelle would have loved to come, but were not able too.

Val, her son Seth and me.

Thank you so much for the jacket Paige! Unkie and I both LOVE it!

This gift was by far Patrick's favorite...a hawkeye mobile! Now he can start training her to love the Hawkeyes right from birth.

Go Hawks!

Thank you again everyone for my shower!!!

37 Weeks

Here we are at 37 weeks, getting ready for the arrival of Baby No Name. She is continuing to grow and move, which the doctor says is a good sign that she is getting lots of oxygen. I am currently dialated to 1 cm (no change from last weeek) and I have effaced approximately 60%. My doctor has also estimated that it should be at least a week before our little angel comes, but it also could be tomorrow. As I sit here writing, she is making herself known with very strong hiccups and is pushing out of the right side of my belly!

Patrick and I are not the only ones getting prepared for the baby to come! Joey and Indie are getting ready too! They got baths and haircuts, so they should be set to go until we can get back on our feet after the baby comes.

Introduction

In 5 weeks the life Patrick and I have known for the last 7 years is going to change so drastically - we cannot even fathom! How exciting that we will be introduced to our little girl that God is blessing us with. I can't believe the time is almost here - as I feel her moving around and running out of room - I realize how close my due date is. I pray we can raise her to follow Christ and that she will love Him with all her heart!
We decided to start a blog for not only our baby girl, so we can show her all the crazy things she does, but also to show and share with our families as we are the only ones who have dared to brave the cold of Minnesota!

I hope you enjoy the pictures and stories of our little miracle and the love of our lives!
