Yesterday Patrick and I dedicated Amelia at our church. Its our way of declaring in front of friends and loved ones our commitment to raising Amelia in a way that glorifies and honors God.
Our introduction and dedication of our baby girl to the Lord.
The verse we chose for you, Amelia, is:
24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.
1 Corinthians 9:24-25
Not only does this verse talk about running the race Amelia, but it also give us an opportunity to teach you how to run the race. The way in which you run this race called life is so important and there are so many things we have to teach you about this. Amelia, we pray you will accept Jesus in your heart some day and have such a strong relationship with Him. We promise to teach you about Jesus, who He is and what He stands for.
Amelia was an absolute riot and gem all at the same time! She was such a squirmy wormy during the rehearsal that we decided let her burn off some energy in the foyer. We also gave Amelia one of her favorite non-toys - travel Kleenex pack - to distract her. While Amelia burned up the carpet and stole people's heart - we were able to see dear friends we haven't seen in quite some time. It was so wonderful to catch up! Our other good friend Diane took the pictures of the dedication - thank you so much Diane! Amelia also did well during the service; however, she would have definitely ran around if she could have!
Mommy and Amelia. I would have gotten more pictures of Amelia, but after the service it was getting close to Amelia's bed time and she was not really in the mood for pictures! She did look adorable though!

Amelia-bug, I love that verse "Run in such a way as to get the prize..." especially considering you've only been running since July:) We're excited for you to come in a couple weeks.
Love, Aunt Jenna
Thanks for sharing her dedication pictures. She is such a doll. I like your life verse you chose. Love, Nana
