Nana and Papa Visit

Nana and Papa came to visit this weekend. It was Papa's first time meeting Amelia! Nana is also staying the week with us to help out with Amelia and the house. Thank you so much Sue for all of your help! We really appreaciate it!

Papa was able to have a first bonding experience with Amelia in Ikea. She was was quite alert to begin with, but her Papa eventually put her asleep.

2 Week Appointment

On Thursday Amelia went to her 2 week appointment. She currently weighs 7 pounds 6 ounces, which is up 4 ounces from when she was weighed on Tuesday. The doctor was very happy with her weight gain, especially since she weighs more than when she was born! She was measured at 20.5 inches.

The doctor was also impressed that Amelia can lift her head and even flip it to the opposite side when she is on her tummy, since she is so young.

She was such a jewel at the doctor's office, she didn't cry at all - even when she was stripped all the way down. Instead Amelia was very alert and looked around the entire time.

Grandma and Grandpa Visit

Patrick's last day home with Amelia and I was on Wednesday - he went back to work on Thursday. My parents came up to visit and help out until the weekend when Patrick's parents are coming. This is also the first time my dad got to meet his new granddaughter as he was in China when she was born. It was very fun to have them up for a couple days and to see them with Amelia. I think she has won them over! :) Thanks Mom and Dad for the help while you were up here!

Amelia and Daddy

A couple of nights after we got home from the hospital Patrick came out from catching a couple hours of sleep. Amelia had a tough night and Patrick has spent quite a bit of time comforting her and holding her head. He proceeded to tell me that he woke up holding his own head!!! Looks like she is already having an impact on him!
