Mini Moments

A lot of 'mini' moments exist on my phone and here is a whole slew of them.  I love the little stories that exist with each one.  They are all since Landon has been born and actually are backwards in order - so the first picture is from just a couple days ago.

Landon smiling in his sleep
Curled up in a ball
Isabelle lovin' on her brother.  I think she may actually think she can pick him up.
Isabelle dipping in for a kiss.  What can't be seen is her feet straight out in the air!
Isabelle reading to herself.  For a busy girl, she can sit still for a little bit....sometimes!
Amelia started gymnastics last week.  So far she is loving it - as did Isabelle (she got to watch all the different girls practicing).  Amelia is on the trampoline.
Landon with Eeyore (perfectly placed by Amelia)
Landon getting some stretch out time....Amelia wanted to lay next to him....and of course then Isabelle wanted to join too.
Isabelle holding Landon.  Poor boy gets poked all over the face by Isabelle.  I suppose she is just double checking that all of his face is still there!
Ah, love this girl and this picture
Thinking while sleepin'
On our way home from the store.....fell asleep while reading a book.
Wide eyed man!
A common place of play lately....or any small area.  And lately, they've been playing together.
Isabelle feeding her baby
Amelia wanted her picture taken
Little man and Daddy snuggling together
The girls playing dress up
Little man
Amelia holding Lando Man
All of us heading out during Christmas
Amelia washing her Dora's hair
Grandpa meeting and feeding Landon for the first time
Isabelle picking out toe lint....it has been a fetish recently
Gramma, Isabelle and Landon
Amelia, my helper, keeping her brother company while I change his diaper
Isabelle figured out she could sit in the stroller, then Amelia figured out she could push Isabelle, and then they both figured out how fun it was
Amelia reading to her Christmas Mickey
Amelia and Landon
Isabelle and Landon - what a difference in complexion!
The girls looking in on their brother....right after he got home.

Whirlwind

Whirlwind - it seems to be my main word to describe life lately - maybe its my excuse for not getting around to posting, getting back to people or a long list of other things I should probably be doing.  So what have I been doing?  Well, surviving for one thing!  But more importantly - spending time with the our three little monkeys - sometimes laughing, sometimes counting to 100.

Here are a couple stories/updates......
Amelia -
This week Amelia went to gymnastics for the first time. She did great and liked it a lot.  Her outfit was shorts and a t-shirt (which she loves summer clothes) and then her workout pants and jacket.  That night, we sent Amelia up to get her pj's on....she came down a little bit later and she talked about taking off her shirt....come to find out.....she put her pull-up on, then her shorts and t-shirt and then her pj's.
Amelia has decided that she LOVES green peppers and wants to eat them all the time.

Isabelle -
Isabelle now drives the train instead of just riding.
Isabelle has told me a few times that she has a poopy diaper.....really hope this is an indication of a positive potty training experience.
One of Isabelle's nicknames is Monkey-Doo, since everything Amelia does, Isabelle must also try out.
Amelia's name is Eeee-Yaaaa!
Isabelle LOVES her brother, constant kisses, hugs, putting in the pacifier and holding him.

Landon -
This little guy continues to grow!  Each time I pick him up it feels like he is putting on weight.
Landon now laughs in his sleep.
On occasion Landon will smile at you - its becoming a little more frequent these days.
He is a noisy little guy...whether eating, sleeping or just sitting there some sort of noise is coming from him

Pre-Lando Catch-up Part 2

This year Thanksgiving was spent with Gramma and Grandpa in Minneapolis, since Landon was expected anytime.   We took quite a big risk and bought circus tickets for the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  Luckily, Landon waited and we were able to go!
Amelia rode an elephant all by herself!  She did so great and I was so proud of her that she was brave enough to go alone.
You could tell Amelia was so proud of herself!
 Amelia waving to the camera!
In theory, this was Isabelle's pony ride; however, at the last minute she decided it was not for her.  So Amelia took advantage and Isabelle walked next to Amelia.  Needless to say, it worked for them both and they were both happy.
 Group picture!
 Amelia and Isabelle LOVES popcorn
"Gramma, have some popcorn!  Here, I will help!"
We saw tigers, which Amelia didn't like much since they were mean.
We also saw an elephants!  And of course, Amelia loved them!
 She also loves cotton candy!
Bed time routine....daddy is reading the bible to the girls.
Isabelle doing a downward dog!  She is almost to the point where she can do a somersault.
Not sure what they are doing but Isabelle's new nickname is Monkey-Do.  Whatever Isabelle sees Amelia doing, she must also do - whether its good, bad, safe or dangerous (for Isabelle's age).  Needless to say, Isabelle looks up to her sister and wants to be just like her sister!

Pre-Lando Catch-up Part 1

Prior to Landon's arrival we had some visitors and Thanksgiving.  So here is a couple quick catch up posts.  The first visitors were Nana and Papa.  Daddy and Papa worked on 'building' Landon's room.
Papa and Isabelle having fun together!  Amelia is also there chillin' with her 'ipad'
 Nana and Isabelle
 Good kisses from Nana!
The girls love love love to read books!
 Isabelle wearing her hat!

The second visitors were Uncle James, Aunt Jenna, Olivia and Cate!  The girls had so much fun playing together.
Gotta love the noise an intake vent makes!
 Aunt Jenna, Amelia and Olivia
The girls did really good playing together.  Isabelle tried to  be a big kid; however, she couldn't quite be as big as the other girls.
 Such trust!
 Flying high with Uncle James
Lots of fun and relaxation!
We also went to the zoo and had lots of fun looking at the animals.

Isabelle's 20 Month Stats

The day Landon was born, Isabelle went in for her 18 month...er....20 month appointment.  For whatever reason, I had it in my mind that she would be 18 months when Landon was born.....so she 'stayed' 17 months in my mind for a couple extra months!  We got her in, thanks to Gramma and here are her stats:
Height: 2'7" - 14th percentile
Weight:  22 lbs - 32nd percentile
Head Circumference: 46 cm - 36th percentile

Isabelle is quite the little fire cracker!   She continues to climb everywhere and get stuck since she still hasn't mastered climbing down.  She knows what she wants and can listen to simple directions.  She is also stubborn as all get out.....she didn't get it from her daddy or mommy - she got it from both of us in combination!   She still laughs hard and cries hard.   Despite her short stature, she has a deep voice and laugh, which almost makes it more hysterical when she laughs hard.   Isabelle loves her sister so so much and thinks she is the moon, the sky, and the sun!   Recently, she has really started talking - and you need context; however, she is working hard at getting those words figured out.   Isabelle is also a tough little girl.   She has not lost her fierce love, she will run up to you and give you the biggest hugs!  She also blows kisses which is so cute.   Along with her fierce love, you had better not mess with her monkey!   Monkey is always near and if we ever loose monkey, she will probably never sleep again - yes, its true, that is how important monkey is.   To the point we are contemplating buying another one....just in case.  Isabelle is also able to put on her pants and is starting to tell us when she poops.  Hopefully, that is an indicator that potty training will go great!  haha.   Isabelle also love love loves dogs.   She likes to feed Joey, hug her, kiss her, sit on her (if she gets the chance) and she also has a special bond with Gramma's dog Harley.

Isabelle has a sweet loving nature and yet is a spunky, crazy all over the place type of girl.  She truly is such a joy to be around and her smile will melt your heart in a moment.  I am so honored to be her mommy.
