Mother's Day Party

At the girls' preschool, they had Mother's Day party!

Room Update - Paint Round 1

We have made some great progress on the room and we are now ready for some paint!!!

The one thing I didn't want for paint was it to look like an easter egg pastels.  Patrick wanted nuetral.  I let the girls each choose a color for the room (yikes!).  Amelia choose the turquoise on Everest from Paw Patrol.  Isabelle choose white.  And for some reason, I went with it.  The girls loved helping!

Though the more they painted the more it looked like an easter egg.  So I decided to go back to the paint store to see if I could darken it.

Even after darkening it....we still just didn't like it, sooooo we decided we would need to switch gears.  Sorry girls!!!

Grand Marque

For Mother's Day instead of going to Duluth, we went farther north to Grand Marque.  The trip was amazing!  I loved it so much especially since the pace of life slowed down so much.  The kids got to explore outdoors and it was so good to see them in an environment outside of the rush of the city.

Had to have some Sven and Ole's pizza.  I don't think those people have seen the likes of 3 small kids (loud) in a while!

One of our favorite parts of Grand Marque was the rock island you can go out on and explore.  The kids loved it and we spent hours out there!  Isabelle smiling big!

We tried a new mexican restaurant.   The tacos were SOOOOO good!  Can't wait to go back and eat there!
